To God be ALL the Glory

I am finishing up a Bible study called Believing God. It is a Beth Moore study and I’ve been doing it on my own for almost a year now (imagine stretching 10 weeks of homework over the course of 11 months! Ha! Anyways… God’s timing is perfect, of course. He knew well before I did, that I would need exactly what He would teach me through this study when I needed it.

This morning I finished week 8 (yay!) and there was something that spoke to me that tied in with a scripture we read in our Bible time with school last Friday. Pride. How often have I allowed myself to think that something God did had something to do with what I did? Whew! I shudder at the thought. God deserves all the glory! Nothing that I have done has earned wisdom, righteousness, or redemption… only the Lord. I must remember to humble myself before Him who gave me life! As we read on Friday…

O the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgements and how inscrutable his ways!
‘For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counsellor?’
‘Or who has given a gift to him,
to receive a gift in return?’
For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be the glory for ever. Amen.

-Romans 11:33-36

Hallelujah! Amen!
